Relsko and CapCut solve different problems. Relsko takes your own phone clips and photos and builds a finished short vertical video for you, so you mostly choose and download. CapCut is a manual editor, so you build every cut, caption and timing yourself. If you want a template you fill in, CapCut is fine. If you want a brief that gets followed, Relsko is the closer match.
Relsko is built for one job: turning footage you already filmed into a short vertical video at 1080x1920 for Instagram Reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts. You upload your clips and photos. The assistant asks at most a couple of questions and proposes three concepts. You pick one. Relsko then produces three cut variants of that one concept, and you download the one you like.
CapCut is a general editor. You import footage, then place clips on a timeline, trim them, add text, music and effects. It also offers templates you can drop your clips into. The work is yours from start to finish, and so is the result.
The key difference is who makes the decisions. With CapCut, you decide the order, the length, the captions and the pace. With Relsko, you describe what the video should say, and the tool builds the edit around your footage.
A template works when your video has no real message to carry. A shop window, a new product on a shelf, a seasonal greeting. You need something clean and quick, and the footage is simple.
CapCut templates suit this. You pick a style, drop in clips, adjust the text and export. If you enjoy editing and have the time, this is a cheap and flexible route.
Relsko also fits simple cases, but it works differently. You do not choose a visual template. You upload your clips, answer a question or two, and get three concepts to choose from. Each concept is an idea for the video, not a skin over it.
A brief matters when the video has to say something specific. A service explained in 20 seconds. A before-and-after. A short answer to a question customers keep asking.
Here a template often falls apart. The clips do not fit the beat, the text lands in the wrong place, and the result looks like a template rather than your business. You end up editing by hand anyway.
Relsko is designed for this case. You give it your footage and a short instruction. The assistant proposes three concepts, each with its own opening line and structure. You pick the one that matches what you want to say. Then you get three cut variants of that concept, so you can compare pacing and order without editing anything yourself.
One limit to know: Relsko only uses what you filmed. It never adds stock footage or generated scenes. If your clips do not cover a point, the video cannot invent it.
Relsko is not a full editor. You cannot drag clips on a timeline or fine-tune a cut frame by frame. It gives you three concepts, then three variants of the one you chose. That is the whole choice.
It also does not publish for you. Publishing to social networks, dubbing and multi-client workspaces are in preparation. Animated captions are in beta, while standard export is available to everyone.
Limits are worth knowing up front: up to 50 files per upload, 200 per project, 2 GB per file, and video length between 10 and 35 seconds. Processing time depends on footage length, captions and current load, so no exact figure is promised.
Register at Relsko for 30 days of full access without a card. Invitations extend that period. After it ends, a free level with a small watermark stays open.
Then upload your phone footage, answer the assistant's questions, and choose one of the three proposed concepts. Relsko produces three cut variants of that concept. Watch them, download the one that fits, and post it. If none feels right, upload a different clip or adjust your instruction and try again.
In breve: CapCut is for when you want to edit every cut yourself; Relsko is for when you want a brief followed and a finished video to download.
