Pick one storyline, keep three parts, and cut your weekend footage into a one minute video people actually remember.

A one minute weekend trip video works best when it tells one story instead of listing every place you visited. Choose a single line: the journey to the destination, one shared experience, or a change in weather and mood. That way the result feels like a memory, not a fast slideshow of your whole camera roll.
Most people start editing by dragging clips onto a timeline in the order they were filmed. That is how you end up with a video that shows everything and says nothing. Instead, decide on one line first.
Three lines work well for a weekend trip. The first is the journey: leaving home, the train or the car, arriving somewhere new. The second is one shared experience: a meal, a walk, a swim, a game of cards in the evening. The third is a change: rain turning into sun, a busy street turning quiet, a tired face turning into a smile.
Pick the line that has the clearest beginning and end. A weekend has dozens of small moments, but only one of them usually carries the feeling of the whole trip.
A simple structure keeps a one minute video readable. Use a beginning, a middle and an end.
The beginning shows where you are going. One or two shots are enough: packing the bag, the view from the window, the first steps on the path. The middle holds two or three important situations. The end brings the destination, a view, or a calm return home.
Between the main moments you can drop in a short detail: food on a plate, hands holding a map, feet on a forest trail. These small shots give the video rhythm and stop it from feeling like a list of panoramas.
An example: the morning train, arriving at the forest, a short break, the lookout tower, and one photo of everyone together. If you filmed ten similar panoramas, use only the clearest one. A personal reaction often brings back the atmosphere better than another look into the distance.
One minute does not mean every clip gets the same number of seconds. A meaningful meeting can last longer, while a transfer between places only needs a hint. A train ride can pass in two seconds if the arrival matters more.
Place names and dates help only where they orient the viewer. A short caption at the start of a section is useful. A caption on every shot turns the video into a diary that nobody can follow.
After your first cut, ask one question: what will someone who was not there remember from this video? If the answer is not clear, remove the side trips. Keep the private originals separately. The short version does not have to replace your full archive.
A weekend produces a lot of footage. The temptation is to include everything because you filmed everything. But a one minute video is a summary, not a record.
Vertical video is the natural shape here, because most people watch on a phone. Relsko turns your own phone clips and photos into short vertical videos at 1080x1920 for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. It never adds stock footage or generated scenes, so everything in the result was really filmed by you.
If you want a worked example of a family weekend cut down to one minute, the page at /for/rodina/ shows how the same footage can be shaped into a single clear story.
Upload your weekend clips and photos. The assistant asks at most a couple of questions and proposes three concepts. You pick one, and Relsko prepares three cut variants of that concept. Download the one that feels closest to the trip you remember.
You can register for 30 days of full access without a card, and invitations extend that period. Afterwards there is a free level with a small watermark. Animated captions are in beta, and the interface, assistant, speech transcription and in-video text work in 16 languages. A finished video's text can be translated into any of the other 15.
One practical note: each upload takes up to 50 files, each project up to 200 files, and each file up to 2 GB. Individual video clips should be between 10 and 35 seconds. Processing time depends on the length of your footage, captions and current load, so plan a little patience after you press the button.
Röviden: A one minute weekend video works when it follows one storyline, keeps three parts, and gives the most important moment the most room.
